Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil to cook
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup white onion, minced
  • 2 canned tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 Sourdough slices
  • 4 slices of mozzarella
  • 6 pieces of fresh basil
  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • Extra virgin olive oil and salt to garnish

Method:

  • Cook the all the sauce ingredients together. Start with the garlic and onions with the oil. 3 minutes later add
  • the other ingredients.
  • Build the sandwich.
  • Toast about 3 minutes on each side on low heat with some butter.
  • Drizzle with evoo and flake salt.
