Get set for a cake without any calorie meter. This cake will lure you not with its sugary sweetening but with its high protein and energy. It is a pathological cake for all the weight and health conscious folks.

Ingredients:

  • 213g of pink salmon
  • 100g wholemeal breadcrumbs
  • 3 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
  • 3 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • 4 slices of lemon
  • 8 capers, drained
  • 2 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • Salt to taste

Method to prepare:

Take a bowl. Break the egg in it and beat it well. Later add finely chopped spring onions and the cherry tomatoes. Slice and squeeze the lemon and drain the capers. Dust the powdered pepper and salt as per required. Throw in some chopped parsley with wholemeal breadcrumbs with a tablespoon of horseradish sauce and greasy vegetable oil. Now take the salmon and remove the skin or any pieces of bones in it. Flake the cleaned salmon in the mixing bowl. Stir the meaty salmon well in the mixture. Combine the mixture with hand or spoon, whichever is comfortable to you, until all the ingredients blend in together well. Now, take the mixture into 4 equal portions and make them into round shape. Meanwhile pre heat your grill. Brush your fish cakes with a little oil. Grill the fish cakes approximately for 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Once your salmon is tanned well, let it cool. Serve the sizzling tanned salmon cake with leafy green salad.

It serves for 4. The time required for the fish cake depends on the grilling time which varies but usually it will hardly consume 20-25 minutes of your time.
